Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of the website. Reading a page or submitting a search indicates agreement with every term below. Anyone who does not agree must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This is a privately operated website with no government affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service for employment screening, credit decisions, tenant screening, insurance underwriting, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) purpose. It directs readers to Russell County, Kentucky record resources and is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from government. It does not store official criminal records, obtain records for users, perform official checks, or submit filings.

Its role is to identify Russell County courts and law-enforcement custodians, the Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry, while also linking to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Users must not:

  • Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass another person
  • Use content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Violate a federal, Kentucky, or local law through site use
  • Attempt unauthorized access to site systems
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Interfere with service performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use this site's content or a linked tool to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or discriminate against a person. Misuse may be criminal. Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry information is provided for public-safety awareness, and Kentucky law restricts misuse against a registrant. It does not authorize vigilantism, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, consumer reports, or background checks. Site data and linked tools may not be used to:

  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make an employment decision
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A check for a regulated purpose must be obtained through an authorized Kentucky State Police process or an FCRA-compliant screening provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Russell County records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to a person. A licensed Kentucky attorney should answer those questions.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • A partner search result is complete or accurate
  • Every detail remains current, complete, and correct
  • The site will operate without interruption
  • Pages contain no bugs, errors, or security flaws

Charges, dismissals, sealing, and expungement can change a criminal record. Information gaps are unavoidable, and no site statement should be treated as an official court or agency record.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to court, law-enforcement, state agency, legal resource, and outside search sites we do not control. We are not responsible for a third party's content, data practices, fees, or availability. Its own terms apply after a visitor leaves this site.

8. Intellectual Property

Russell County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, code, graphics, and logos. Written permission is required to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from site use, linked services, or reliance on information found through either.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by that user's site activity or violation of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms. Any dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in Kentucky.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time, and a posted revision takes effect when it appears on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Site access may be restricted or terminated at any time, without notice and for any reason.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be modified only to the extent needed for enforcement.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
